Age 8, I got my first model car: a 57' Chevy from my uncle as a birthday present. My dad and I put it together. It had a brushed on rockin blue paint job, blown 350 and slicks!! Do you see what happens when you introduce you child to this kind of stuff...

Age 10, I got the Visible V-8 engine model... It took me a couple years to get it together. It didn't work right, but I still think I learned a lot about engines from that thing. Then basically taking everything I could find apart and building new things out of it.

By the time I was in middle school I was getting grounded to my room a lot because of bad grades. What else are you going to do when you are stuck in your room? I built model cars!!
